Clubhouse or Disaster

Parker and Cole have quickly discovered that the best time to do something that probably isn't the best idea is while I am nursing Ryder! The other morning I was sitting on the couch feeding Ryder and the boys went back to their room(so I thought)...it was pretty quiet so I asked what they were doing. Parker told me they were "building a clubhouse". So I thought, no big deal it is keeping them busy. However, to my suprise, their idea of a cluhouse in Ryder's room was my idea of a disaster. :) If you click on the picture you can get a better idea of their "good time."

"Be My Everything"

It has been 24 hours since we took Mark to the airport and already Cole has cried for dad at least three times, Parker said watching football without him is not the same, and I just need a good laugh!(which Mark is always good for) As most of you know Mark is a caddy for Paul Stankowski so it is that time again! We have enjoyed the last three months of Mark being home, but the time has come for him to start on the tour again. We have truly been blessed by this opportunity so as you continue to read this know that I am just being real with how it can get hard around here without dad!

Last Wednesday at Venture we sang "Be My Everything", a song I have truly come to love and claim as my own! As many of you who have husbands that travel often can relate, it gets hard being both mom and dad at times. Sometimes you just want to have someone to back you up, get one of the kids out of the car, or another hand at bedtime. Mark has always been able to make me smile just by walking into the room, so having the person gone that makes me a better person gets rough. So when I feel as though I can't take another day I am reminded that He is enough! He is the ultimate ear to listen, shoulder to cry on, and wants to fill you up when you are empty!

So I guess I just wanted to encourage those of you that find yourself in these shoes more than you wish, to allow Him to "Be Your Everything"!

Cole's New Do

Poor kids, they have no say in what we want to do to their hair....I got tired of Cole's straight hair even as cute as I thought it was, and since I don't have any kids with hair to braid I thought I'd tell Mark to get the clippers out and take a #7 guard to it. Funny....I know what guards are on clippers now....So without further.....a"do".........

Well I thought I would just share our holiday's with you by showing a few pictures. I promise this will be alot more interesting than if I tried to write about them!
We spend Christmas with my family in Lawton Ok every year, since we spend Thanksgiving with Mark's. The boys truly enjoyed Christmas morning this year. Parker ripped through his presents so fast I don't think he knew what he got until three hours later!


We spent Christmas night at my sisters house in OKC and woke up to the awesome surprise of SNOW!!!

Due to the fact that Matt was out of town and Mark was working Lauren and I decided to ring in the new year together. The kids enjoyed the sleep over (even though Parker told me several times that he and Audrey should have been able to sleep in the room together) however, since Lauren and I wanted some kidless time we knew that was a bad idea!

Well, the decorations are finally down and the house looks so bare! However, as much as I enjoy the holidays I am ready to get back in a normal routine.

I Have Arrived!!!

Not to be to cliche but I figured with the amount of boys we've had in the last 5 years, we truly have created a long line of Loser's. I'm finally BLOGGING!!! It took me awhile, but it has been fun reading all of our friend's blogs in the meantime. Mark bought me a nice camera for Christmas and it has given me an outlet to share our family life with friends and family thru words and pictures. I'll be learning as I go. I just hope this blog makes you smile sometimes, laugh sometimes or maybe in all my infinite wisdom(very sarcastic right there) stir your affections towards Christ. So....with that said....Feel free to pronounce the title of the Blog however you see fit.
