MIA
So I realize I have been MIA for a while. At some point in the last few months the only thing I want to do after the kids are in bed is go to bed myself! Therefore, my blog page has since suffered! Alot has happened since Snow Day! The most interesting thing would be our family trip to Puerto Rico over spring break. It was so much fun and absolutly beautiful. So here are a few pics of our trip. I promise I will do better about keeping up with this page.

I got tagged.....
10 years ago:
I was ending my freshman year in college and Mark was trying to win my heart!
Things on my to-do list today:
-Work out (The hardest class ever)
-lunch
-Really need to mop while cole is napping
-Parker has baseball practice
-Get boys stuff layed out for school and get them in bed
-Relax!!!
What would I do if I suddenly became a Billionaire:
I would write a check for 6 million to The Village :). Give away to other ministries. Buy Mark a truck and a fishing boat. Buy two vacation homes, one on the beach and one in the mountains! Go on a great shopping trip with some girl friends (my treat)! The rest would probably have to go to taxes!
Three of my bad habits:
-Diet Dr. Pepper
-Leaving all the lights on in the house
-Running late!!!
Five jobs I have had:
-Lifeguard at a waterpark where I had at least three rescuse a day!
-Counselor at CrossCamp. Where Mark and I met so this was my favorite job!
-Waited tables at Landry's seafood house, and Willie's Ice House in Houston.
-Worked at Pei Wei's
-Was a personal trainer at the YMCA
Five things people don't know about me:
-I hate putting laundry away, so it stays in one of the 4 baskets I have till I have to do laundry again and need it.
-I NEVER put new toilet paper back on the role! I set it on the floor till Mark does.
-I peed in my bed when I was pregnant with Parker and had to wake Mark up in the middle of the night so I could change the sheets.
-When I am home by myself at night I sleep with most of the lights on.
-I have a black dot in my eye.

Valentines Day!
So I am sure that Valentine's Day for some of ya'll is a wonderful romantic day, I felt the same til I had kids in school! I have now become the Valentine's Day scrooge. This is due to the fact that I have to spend the night before Valentine's Day writing out 35 different Valentines for kids that cannot even read what they say, and unless there is candy involved they want nothing to do with it! The other fun thing is going to Target that same night and fighting the 1,000's of people (mainly men) buying last minute gifts for their wives so they can check it off their list. Now I am sure that there are some guys who truly love buying flowers and cards for their wife, but lets face it, for most men it is a last minute stop so they will not miss out on the "romance" of Valentine's night!:) On returning home from this wonderful trip I told my husband to please never be one of those men! I did get to enjoy a wonderful dinner with Mark and some friends that helped me recover from the day. So in conclusion, yes I was bitter, but I have recovered for now until next year when Parker is in kindergarten and I actually have to attend a party!

Clubhouse or Disaster
Parker and Cole have quickly discovered that the best time to do something that probably isn't the best idea is while I am nursing Ryder! The other morning I was sitting on the couch feeding Ryder and the boys went back to their room(so I thought)...it was pretty quiet so I asked what they were doing. Parker told me they were "building a clubhouse". So I thought, no big deal it is keeping them busy. However, to my suprise, their idea of a cluhouse in Ryder's room was my idea of a disaster. :) If you click on the picture you can get a better idea of their "good time."

"Be My Everything"
It has been 24 hours since we took Mark to the airport and already Cole has cried for dad at least three times, Parker said watching football without him is not the same, and I just need a good laugh!(which Mark is always good for) As most of you know Mark is a caddy for Paul Stankowski so it is that time again! We have enjoyed the last three months of Mark being home, but the time has come for him to start on the tour again. We have truly been blessed by this opportunity so as you continue to read this know that I am just being real with how it can get hard around here without dad!
Last Wednesday at Venture we sang "Be My Everything", a song I have truly come to love and claim as my own! As many of you who have husbands that travel often can relate, it gets hard being both mom and dad at times. Sometimes you just want to have someone to back you up, get one of the kids out of the car, or another hand at bedtime. Mark has always been able to make me smile just by walking into the room, so having the person gone that makes me a better person gets rough. So when I feel as though I can't take another day I am reminded that He is enough! He is the ultimate ear to listen, shoulder to cry on, and wants to fill you up when you are empty!
So I guess I just wanted to encourage those of you that find yourself in these shoes more than you wish, to allow Him to "Be Your Everything"!

Cole's New Do
Poor kids, they have no say in what we want to do to their hair....I got tired of Cole's straight hair even as cute as I thought it was, and since I don't have any kids with hair to braid I thought I'd tell Mark to get the clippers out and take a #7 guard to it. Funny....I know what guards are on clippers now....So without further.....a"do".........
